How the rate works

A flat monthly figure covering the unit, the weekly service and the consumables. It does not change month to month and it does not get re-priced when fuel does. Every two weeks service is an option on low-traffic placements — a two-man yard does not need what a twenty-man site needs, and the rate reflects that.

Keeping a long-placed unit decent

The thing that ruins a long placement is a unit that has been in the same spot in the sun for a year. We swap units out on request and as a matter of course on the longest placements, so what is on your yard is not visibly older than everything else on it. Ask and it gets swapped; you will not be billed for a redelivery.

Where they end up

Yard placements go against a fence line, clear of the trailer turning aisle and the forklift lane — which in Santa Fe Springs and Wilmington is the whole placement conversation. Park and field placements go on the pavement or a hard pad at the edge of the lot, on a route the service truck can reach without crossing turf. Anything on an active oil lease or inside a terminal follows the operator's rules for gates and hours.
